Slovenian alpine skier enthusiastic about Hilotherapy
June 2009

The Slovenian alpine skier and twice Junior World Champion Ilka Stuhec is one of the greatest Hilotherapy fans since her severe knee injury in August 2008.

She started directly after the surgery with cooling her injured knee and continued the Hilotherapy treatment at home, when possible even over night. Her success proves her right: only four months after the big surgery she could already start with easy fitness training!

Today the Hilotherapy system is her constant companion – for emergency or simply for regeneration!

„„The need for improvement of this cuff has clearly turned out in numerous conversations with our clients: the 3D form of the cuff especially in the area of the cheeks and to the throat had to be improved“, confirms Klaus Janisch, Production Manager of the Hilotherm GmbH.

Professional cyclist relies on Hilotherapy
April 2009

Swiss professional cyclist Alexander Aeschbach since his last training accident in Saxony totally relies on Hilotherapy when it comes to rapid regeneration!

Since he experienced himself how fast Hilotherapy helps to soothe pain and at the same time shortens significantly the recovery time and therefore the time off training, he doesn’t want to miss his Hilotherapy system ever again!

Donation instead of Christmas gifts

December 2008

This year we decided to make a contribution to a humanitarian organisation instead of making Christmas gifts to our customers and partners.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent international humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters or exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries.

In emergencies and their aftermath, MSF provides essential healthcare, rehabilitates and runs hospitals and clinics, performs surgery, tackles epidemics, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centres for malnourished children and offers psychological support. When needed, MSF also constructs wells and dispenses clean drinking water and distributes materials like blankets, plastic sheeting and other basic necessities.
